Blekinge Institute of Technology, officially known as Blekinge Tekniska Högskola in Swedish, was established in 1999 in Blekinge, Sweden. It is one of the first institutes of technology which was established by a Swedish government with a vision enhance the capability of the students in a technology. Today, Blekinge Institute of Technology has 12 departments which offers professionally oriented study programmes of high quality that develop the student as a whole. BTH offers 35 programs at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels in Information and Communication Technology, Information Technology, Sustainable Development, Health Science, Engineering, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Economics and Spatial Planning. Today, Blekinge Institute of Technology has two campuses in Blekinge, Sweden including Campus Gräsvik in Karlskrona, which was form in 1989 and houses the main administrative block and Campus Karlshamn which was inaugurated in 2000. The Soft Center Campus in Ronneby existed from 1989 and was integrated in 2010 in the Campus Gräsvik, Karlskrona. There are 7,500 students enrolled in the Blekinge Institute of Technology with the presence of academic staff of more than 600 members.
