Babes-Bolyai University is the largest comprehensive university in Romania established in 1959 offering ethnically diverse study programmes in Romanian, German, Hungarian, French and English. The university provides bachelor’s, master’s and PhD degree courses along with advanced postgraduate studies distributed among 21 faculties and 12 academic extensions. UBB is known to be the only university in Europe that has 4 Faculties of Theology, namely Orthodox, Reformed, Greek Catholic and Roman Catholic. Most popular academic courses are Law and State, Liberal Arts and History, Philosophy, Medicine, Mathematics and Natural Sciences. The institution has partnered with 210 universities in 50 countries, widely considered to be one of the most prestigious universities in Eastern Europe.
