History, Affiliations and Rankings
Established in 2001, the Alliant International University in California, USA was founded by the collaboration of San Francisco Law School, United States International University, and California School of Psychology. Initially, the institute was a non-profit university. In 2015, Alliant became a for-profit corporation and part of the Artist Education System. Alliant has affiliations with Adventist Health White Memorial Hospital, Association of California Community College Administrators (ACCCA), Association of California School Administrators (ACSA), and California Association of School Psychologists (CASP). Alliant International University ranks #299-391 in National Universities by the US News & World Report 2022.
Infrastructure, Campuses and Courses
Alliant International University's main campus is in San Diego, California. The institution has five more California locations in Fresno, Irvine, Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Diego, and San Francisco. They also have an international campus in Hong Kong, and an Online Campus. Located near departmental stores, stationery shops, chemist shops and various cafes and restaurants, the campuses offer all the needed amenities to the students. Alliant International University offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs through its five faculties: the faculty of Professional Psychology, Management & Leadership, Education, Forensic Studies, and Law.
Accomplishments and Alumni
The Alliant International University is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC), and also provides courses accredited by The American Psychological Association (APA) the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE), and the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) among others. The University has an alumni network of 50,000+ who are creating impact around the world, including in NASA, United Nations, US Congress, as well as other government and non-profit organziations. The notable alumni of the Alliant are Cheryl Arutt (Actor), Sergio Albert (Football player, NFL), Wayne Clark (Former football player, NFL), and Jamie Foxx (Actor, singer, comedian, producer, and writer).
Student Diversity and Visiting Companies
Alliant International University have about 4,500 students on-campus out of which 450 are undergraduate students and about 4,100 are postgraduate students. They have about 400 international students on-campus. The Alliant International University conducts workshops that are made in a way to offer key insights about various areas of their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiative, including but not limited to identity, power & privilege, allyship, implicit bias, culture, and inclusive leadership. Alliant International University values and embraces diversity, and is extremely proud to provide this internal training as they continue to make a world that is empowered by Alliant staff, students, and alumni who will share their values. The male-to-female ratio is 35:65 at the institute. The visiting recruiters on-campus are Head Start, U.S. Bank, CareCorp National, US House of Representatives, NAMI Sa, and others.
