19 universities in the UK are partners in the scholarships from the British Council.
The British Council has announced scholarships for STEM graduates. Students who want to enrol in postgraduate programmes at a top university in the UK for science, technology, engineering, or mathematics degrees. Women only are eligible to apply for scholarships from the British Council.
Women who have already finished their PhDs in STEM fields are also eligible. It is the scholarship for an early academic fellowship, in addition to those who wish to pursue a master’s degree in the UK.
Aiming to assist women from the Americas, South Asia, East Asia, Western Balkans, Central Asia, Brazil, Egypt, Mexico, and Turkey, British Council is working in conjunction with 19 UK universities.
Eligibility for scholarships from the British Council to study in the UK
Candidates must be from one of the following countries to be eligible for the British Council’s Master’s Scholarships and Early Academic Fellowships: India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Burma, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Only master’s scholarships are available to women applicants from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Jamaica, Mexico, Peru, Venezuela, and Egypt.
In addition to that, the candidates must be able to show a need for financial assistance and be willing to pursue master’s degrees or early academic fellowships in 2023–2024.
The scholarship’s advantages
The candidates will get financial assistance through the British Council scholarship, which will cover their tuition, stipend, travel expenses, visa fees, and health insurance costs.
Also, they will receive assistance with English (IELTS). Moms will receive extra service.
Indian women applicants must submit applications for master’s programmes at Coventry University, the University of Bath, and The University of Manchester in order to be considered for the award.
Women must apply to Imperial College London or The University of Edinburgh for an early academic fellowship scholarship from the British Council.
