Study in USA: American University School of International Service Fully Funded PhD Scholarship Opens for Academic Year 2024-25

The American University School of International Service (SIS) offers PhD scholarships to international students. SIS PhD in International Relations grants quality students the training and skills required to pursue their scholarly careers in policy worlds. It also helps them to contribute game-changing solutions in international affairs.

Applicants who are admitted to the SIS PhD programs and who maintain good academic progress towards completing their degree are provided with the Dean’s Fellowship. However, it is available only to students who do not have external funding.

The American University School of International Service PhD Scholarship is a fully funded scholarship meant for international students from any country.  Moreover, it is available for a duration of 4 years. The deadline for the application is 15th December 2023.

The American University School of International Service Ph.D. scholarship is available for students who have an excellent academic record. Moreover, the student must want to pursue a career in research and teaching at academic institutions, NGOs, or government organizations. However, the eligible fields for research are as follows:

• The role of public diplomacy in US-China relations.
• The sources of cohesion in alliance relations
• Transitional justice and its relationship to governance in Poland
• The interaction between state and local fisheries management practices in Uganda and how this affects compliance and legitimacy.

American University School of International Service PhD Scholarship Benefits 

The benefits of the American University School of International Service PhD scholarships are as follows. The duration of the scholarship is for 4 years 

• Beneficiaries can receive the Dean Fellowship which is renewable for a period of 4 years. However, the student has to maintain a good academic record towards completing the degree
• Covers total tuition fees of the student and provides a stipend to work for a member of the SIS faculty as a research assistant/teaching assistant for a duration of 20 hours/week. (spring semester and fall semester)
• Be eligible to identify a particular field, take a comprehensive examination, write a prospectus, and submit a dissertation 
• The selected student can also receive funding for travel, summer research, conference presentations, and more.
