Study in UK: Apply Now for University of Birmingham India Chancellor’s Scholarships; Deadline 31st May

The University of Birmingham India Chancellor’s Scholarship is available for the academic year 2024-25. The scholarships are available to Indian students. However, you must be enrolling in a postgraduate taught master’s programme in an eligible subject area. For example, Engineering and Physical Sciences, Arts and Law, Life and Environmental Sciences, Social Sciences, Medical and Dental Sciences. The benefit is a tuition fee discount of £4,000  to 15 eligible students. The scholarship is given based on academic merit. The last date to apply is on 31st May 2024.

India Chancellor’s Scholarships Eligibility 

The eligibility requirements for the India Chancellor’s Scholarship is as follows 

• You must have received an offer of admission from the university. Moreover, you must have selected the University of Birmingham as your 1st choice for a postgraduate programme starting in Septemeber 2024.
• You must be entering the 1st year of a postgraduate programme at the University campus
• Additionally, you must meet the academic requirements of the programme
• You must be classed as domiciled in India and as an International tuition-paying student 
• You must also pay £2,000 deposit by the deadline provided in the offer letter
• Moreover, you must have sufficient funds to cover your living expenses, travel expenses, visa expenses, and any other additional expenses for staying in the UK
• Must commence your studies at the University in September 2024
• Send the scholarship application after accepting the offer letter by the deadline 
• Upon enrollment, pay the required tuition fees for the 1st year by 1 November, immediately after enrollment.
• Those enrolling in PGDip, PGCert, Phil, MRes, MLit, and MMus programs are not eligible

India Chancellor’s Scholarships Selection Process 

The India Checlleor’s Scholarship is given based on merit, and the statement of purpose.Under exceptional circumstances, if the university is unable to choose a beneficiary (For example, 2 students having similar grades), an online interview is conducted. 

To apply, for the scholarship you must meet the eligibility criteria,  and accept the offer letter from the University of Birmingham. Ensure that you have selected the University of Birmingham as your 1st firm choice for the postgraduate prorgam, and pay the tuition fee deposit before 31st May 2024. The declaration of results will take place in early July. The scholarships will be given upon enrollment of the student in September 2024.
