The University of Canterbury offers the Helen Macmillan Brown Bursary for incoming students for 2025. The purpose of this bursary is to assist female students residing in a village or hall that is affiliated with the university. The benefit of this bursary is financial assistance for one year. There are a total of 10 bursaries available to eligible students. Moreover, it is available to full-time and part-time students. The applications for the Helen Macmillan Brown Bursary opened on 20 June 2024. The deadline to apply is 15th August 2024.
Helen Macmillan Brown Bursary Eligibility Requirements
The eligibility criteria for the Helen Macmillan Brown Bursary are as follows:
- You must be an incoming 1st year undergraduate home or international student
- You must be a female student who has applied to enrol or intends to enrol at the university in the year following the year of application
- Moreover, the bursary is available to both full-time and part-time students
- During the tenure of the bursary, you must be a resident of a village or hall that is affiliated with the university
Helen Macmillan Brown Bursary Benefits
The benefit of the Helen Macmillan Brown Bursary is as follows:
- You will receive financial assistance of up to $2,500 per 1.00 EFTS of enrolment
- Moreover, this financial assistance will be available for 1 year
The bursary is available at the recommendation of the Vice-Chancellor (or nominee). For the selection process, your academic achievement will be assessed.
All applications must be made online. You can visit the official website and apply to the scholarship website. Your application will be accepted even if you have received this bursary before. However, you need to accept the bursary within 1 calendar month from the date of offer. Otherwise, your bursary will lapse.
