Study in New Zealand: Massey University Master’s Research Scholarship Application Opens Today

Massy University’s Master’s Research Scholarship is available to international postgraduate students. Students who have completed the course component of the Master’s degree and entering the research component are eligible for this award. The scholarship benefit is $15,000 towards 1-year tuition fee of the selected students. Multiple awards are available to full-time, and part-time students. Interested students can apply for a  Massey University Master’s Research Scholarship, Massey University Pacific Master’s Research Scholarship, or  Massey University Māori Master’s Research Scholarship. The last date to apply is on  1 July 2024.

Massey University Master’s Research Scholarship Eligibility 

The eligibility requirements for the Massey University Master’s Research Scholarship are as follows. Interested students must meet the eligibility criteria to apply for the award.

• Must be a full-time or part-time student enrolling in a 90-credit or more research component of a master’s degree. Moreover, the start date of the research component must align with the scholarship closing date.
• Annually, a total of 2 selection rounds take place. That is one closing at the start of semester 1 and another closing at the start of semester 2. The student must apply before the deadline. 

Massey University Master’s Research Scholarship Benefit 

The Massey University Master’s Research Scholarship benefit is as follows. Note: The Scholarship Committee may adjust the scholarship value depending on the applicant’s circumstances.  

• $10,000 for full-time students enrolled in a 90-credit thesis. Moreover, the amount is pro-rated for part-time students
• $15,000 for full-time students enrolled in a 120-credit thesis. The amount is pro-rated for part-time students

Interested students can visit the official website to apply. The applicant must submit a statement from your Massey University Master’s Research Scholarship researcher regarding your capability and quality. Additionally, submit a research proposal highlighting the relevance of the research.The University’s selection committee will consider the academic merit, researcher’s capability, and relevance of the research. The deadline for the application is on 1 July 2024.
