Study in Ireland: 3+ University of Galway International Scholarships for 2024-25

The University of Glaway is offering several international scholarships to students. The scholarships are meant to attract high-calibre students from around the world. These are merit-based scholarships for non-EU students that are in line with the strategic international priorities.  The University of Glaway ranks between 301-350 in the world. Hence, it is one of the best universities to study in Ireland. The scholarships provided by the university are generally tuition fee discounts. However, the eligibility criteria, benefits, and the deadline can vary.

3+ University of Galway International Scholarships

Global Achievement Scholarship (Undergraduate) 

University of Galway Global Achievement Scholarships are available to undergraduate students. The scholarship benefit is a tuition fee discount of  €2,000 for the 1st year of study. To be eligible, the applicant must be self-funding his/her education, and have met the conditions outlined in the offer letter. Moreover, the student must come under the international tuition fee-paying category. However, only students applying for the Social Sciences and Celtic Studies, College of Arts, and the J.E. Cairnes School of Business and Economics are eligible. 

Business Postgraduate Merit Scholarships

The J.E. Cairnes School of Business and Economics offers merit-based scholarships to students. The scholarship benefit is a 50% tuition fee discount. Applicants must accept their offer letter and pay the deposit before  1st May 2024. Those who meet the eligibility criteria are automatically considered for the scholarship. Hence, no separate application is necessary. 

College of Science and Engineering

The College of Science and Engineering scholarships are available to postgraduate students. Under this category, international students can apply for several excellence scholarships. The scholarship benefit is an amount of up to  €7,640. Students must accept their offer letter and submit the deposit by Wednesday, 1 May 2024 for tuition fee consideration. 

Hardiman Scholarships 

The Hardiman scholarship applications are for PhD students. These are fully funding scholarships for 4 years. Additionally, beneficiaries would receive a stipend of  €22,000 p.a. as a tuition fee waiver. The scholarship gives opportunities for suitable qualified individuals to pursue a structured PhD focused on 5 areas of research.
