The University of Wollongong Academic Merit scholarship is open to international undergraduate students for 2024-25. Indian students can also apply for this scholarship. The benefit is a tuition fee discount of 15%-50% for each trimester of study. The Academic Merit Scholarship is given on a first-come, first-serve basis. Therefore, once all scholarships are awarded no further applications are accepted. To apply you must visit the offical website of the university, download the scholarship form, fill it out, and submit it along with supporting documents relevant to this scholarship programme. The deadline for students coming from the CBSE curriculum and UAE/American/IB curriculum is 15 June 2024.

The Academic Merit Scholarship eligibility and selection criteria are as follows:
- You must be an international students
- Must be a new (entry-level) student
- Additionally, you must have secured the minimum grades listed in the curriculum table below.
- You must meet the academic and admission requirements of the university
- Moreover, you must be intending to enrol in the relevant session for which you have applied
Academic Merit Scholarship Value
The bachelor’s academic merit scholarship benefit is provided below. Note: this scholarship does not cover the textbook, accommodation, excursions, or your living expenses. The scholarships are divided into 3 categories. Within each category only limited scholarships are available. Therefore, you must meet the minimum selection criteria. The 3 categories are:
- 50% scholarship (conditions apply)
- 15% scholarship
- 25% scholarship
How to Retain this Scholarship?
The university annually reviews the scholarships awarded to students at the start of each Autumn trimester. Therefore, To retain the bachelor’s academic merit scholarship you must meet the following requirements:
- You must enrol in a minimum of 3 subjects in Winter, Autumn, and Spring
- Maintain a cumulative WAM of ≥75 (50% scholarship)
- Similarly, you must maintain a cumulative WAM of ≥55 (15% scholarship)
- Maintain a cumulative WAM of ≥65 (25% scholarship)
- Receive no “Fail” (F or TF) grades
At the time of scholarship review, the university will either reduce the scholarship amount or withdraw your scholarship if you do not meet the above criteria.
