Study in Canada: Lakehead University International Scholarships for Academic Year 2024-25 

Lakehead University offers several international scholarships for 2024-25. The scholarships are given towards the tuition fees of the selected students. Scholarships are available to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. However, the exact amount of the award and eligibility requirements can vary depending on the scholarship type. Some of these scholarships are renewable subject to the student meeting the academic requirements Moreover, the scholarships do not require any separate application. Therefore, the university automatically grants the award at the time of admission. Lakehead University ranks between 1001 and 1050 in the world. International Undergraduate Entrance Scholarships

Lakehead University awards the International Undergraduate Entrance Scholarships to students who are non-Canadian and are entering the university after completing high school. Students who are transferring from an international college or university are also eligible. The scholarship is renewable if the student meets the academic requirements (90% for the 1st scholarship, 80% for the 2nd scholarship). However, the 3rd scholarship is not renewable. It is given for 1st year only.

International Graduate Scholarships

Graduate students can receive either the Graduate Assistantships or the Faculty Research Awards for Graduate Students. The benefits of the scholarship are as follows:

• Graduate Assistantships: This is given to full-time graduate students (including visa students). The scholarship benefit is an amount of  $10,506.69 at the Master’s level and $11,457.79 at the doctoral level.
• Faculty Research Awards for Graduate Students: Full-time graduate students can also receive faculty research grants for relevant research and academic activities. The awards are given out as stipends to students.

International Lakehead-Georgian Scholarships

The International Lakehead Georgian Scholarships are available to undergraduate students who either transfer from a college or university or are entering after completion of high school students. However, this award is only available to top students applying to Lakehead-Georgian for 2024-2025. The scholarship benefit is $4,000 as an International Visionary Award. This award is provided in addition to the International Undergraduate Entrance Scholarships. Lakehead University either awards the scholarship for 1 year or distributes it for four academic years, depending on the student’s academic merit.
