The University of Saskatchewan is offering the RBC Royal Bank Aboriginal Student Awards Program to Indian students (as defined in Section 2(1) of the Indian ActA committee). The RBC Royal Bank is funding 10 awards for the academic year 2024. The award divides into two categories: Awards for students majoring in areas related to the financial services industry, and awards for students majoring in disciplines unrelated to the financial services industry.
The university also consider applicants who are seeking careers in financial services for summer and post-graduate employment.The selected students can receive a scholarship of up to $4,000 each academic year for 2-4 years. The scholarship is meant to cover the student’s tuition fees, textbooks, supplies, and living expenses. The deadline for the application is on 28th February 2024.
RBC Royal Bank Aboriginal Student Awards Program Eligibility
The eligibility requirements for the RBC Royal Bank Aboriginal Student Awards Program are as follows:
- Must be an Indian, a Non-status Indian, Metis, or a student of Inuit status
- Moreover, you must be a citizen of Canada or a Canadian permanent resident
- The applicant must have applied or must be currently attending an accredited post-secondary institution in Canada
- Additionally, the student must maintain a full course load that can result in a recognized degree, diploma, or certificate prorgam.
- Must have at least 2 years remaining in a post-secondary academic program ( as of September 2014)
- Additionally, the applicant must require financial assistance to complete the education
RBC Royal Bank Aboriginal Student Awards Program Application
RBC Royal Bank Aboriginal Student Awards Program is as follows:
- The student must send the online application form along with the supporting documents by 11:59 pm EST on February 28th, of each year
- A completed application must include an application form, a copy of the current transcript, and an LOR
- Additionally, the selected student must provide an offer letter from the University of Saskatchewan. This has to be submitted by July 31.
- Disqualification of the selected students can take place if they do not confirm their acceptance by 31st July. Reapplication in the next academic year is possible.
