Study in Australia: UOS Protein Biochemistry Scholarship Applications Open Today

The University of Sydney has launched a postgraduate research scholarship in protein biochemistry. The scholarship aims to support an international student undertaking a PhD within the School of Life and Environmental Sciences. 

UOS protein Biochemistry Scholarship grants an international student an amount of $25,000 (INR 20.45 lakh) per annum. International students who have a background in biophysics and protein biochemistry can apply for the scholarship. Similarly, students who have a background in DNA binding protein are also eligible. The applications open today and the deadline for the same is 16, July 2023.

UOS protein Biochemistry Scholarship Eligibility 

Interested students must fulfill the eligibility criteria for the UOS scholarship. Below are the details for the same.

• Must be an international student
• Additionally, the student must have received an unconditional offer letter from the University 
• The PhD programme must be within the School of Life and Environmental Sciences , Faculty of Science 
• Moreover, the applicant must have a background in protein biochemistry. 
• The university requires the applicant to have a background in biophysics, specifically in DNA binding proteins.

UOS protein Biochemistry Scholarship Benefits 

The UOS protein biochemistry scholarship beneficiary would receive an amount of  $25,000 per annum. The scholarship would be provided for a duration of 2.5 years. Additionally, the student can apply for the extension of scholarship for 6 months.

The scholarship committee would decide the scholarship beneficiary based on the academic performance, area of study/research proposal, previous research experience, and the Curriculum Vitae. Furthermore, they will grant the scholarship based on the nomination of the relevant research supervisor/nominated delegate(s).
