As per the new legislation laid out by the Australian government, it will be a criminal offence to force student visa holders or migrant employees into violating their visa conditions for work. New rules are mend to empower overseas student workers without risking their visa status. 

However, student visa holders must be aware of their employment rights. Also, as per the new rules students can work up to 48 hours per fortnight. This will allow them to maintain their attendance in college and also earn money to fulfil their requirements.

Moreover, student visa holders working in Australia are entitled to the same workplace rights as every Australian. The international students will be treated fairly without any discrimination. 

Additionally, international student workers will be entitled to a legal minimum wage depending on the industry they are working in. International students will be paid according to the current industry standards.

Also, the student visa holder must meet the National Employment Standards (NES). Whatsoever, the NES outlines the entitlement leave depending on the fact you are a permanent employee or casual employee. 

Furthermore, the employer will also be responsible for making sure that the student visa holder, working in the country meets their visa conditions, without violating the rules. Otherwise, the employer will be penalized for the same.

These new rules will ensure that the students working in Australia while studying will get equal pay as any other citizen of the country. This will ensure the workers will get paid equally without getting exploited themselves to earn money.
