Study in Australia: 5 University of Newcastle Scholarships for First-Year UG Students 

The University of Newcastle offers 5 scholarships to international undergraduate students. The scholarships are available to those who demonstrate academic achievement. The beneficiaries would receive an amount of $48,000.

College of International Education International Pathways Scholarship

This scholarship is available to students who have completed an applicable pathway program. For example,  Degree Transfer, Foundation Studies, Pre-Master’s Program, and Degree Transfer Extended. The benefit of the scholarship is up to $17,575. That is a 10% fee reduction for each remaining year of study. A total of 300 scholarships are available.

Health Excellence Scholarship

The Health Excellence Scholarship is a merit-based award. This award is for applicants enrolling in an eligible course. That is Bachelor of Biomedical Science, Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Nutrition & Dietetics, Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science (all streams), Master of Nursing, Master of Public Health including combined programs, and Graduate Certificate in Public Health (only if packaged with Master program). The scholarship value is between AU$4,000 -AU$12,000 per year for a standard full-time course.

International Excellence Scholarship

The International Excellence Scholarship is for high-performing students. The scholarship is available to students who have received an offer letter to study an eligible course and are commencing their education in Trimester 2, 2024 and beyond. The value starts from AU$ 4,000 to AU$ 8,000 per year for a full-time course of study.

STEAM Excellence Scholarship

100 STEAM Excellence Scholarships are available to students enrolling in an eligible program and are commencing their education in Trimester 2, 2024 and beyond. Some eligible programs include Bachelor of Design (Architecture), Master of Cyber Security, Master of Materials Science and Engineering, etc. The scholarship value ranges from AU$4,000 to AU$12,000 per year.
