Study Abroad: Application for Asia Foundation Development Fellows Program 2024 Ends on 28th August, 2023

The Asia Foundation Development Fellows program is a dynamic learning program designed for highly talented Asian people. Indians are also eligible to apply. The aim of the program is to assist talented Asians in enhancing their leadership skills, professional networks, Asian development knowledge, and international exposure. The deadline for the applications is 28, August 2023.

 Asia Foundation Development Fellows program consists of- the Spring 2024: Leadership Training Program & Study Tour in Cambodia ( February 18 to March 1, 2024), and the Fall 2024: Leadership Dialogue and Exchange Program in the United States (October 13 to 26, 2024). 

Under the Leadership Dialogue and Exchange Program, an award of up to US$5,000/INR 4.12 lakh is awarded to each fellow. Moreover, executive coaching mentoring is available. 

Asia Foundation Development Fellows Program Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the Asia Foundation Development Fellows Program are as follows:

• The applicant must be a resident/citizen of any of the following countries: India, China, Korea, Japan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Laos, Nepal, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor Leste, Vietnam, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, or the Philippines
• Demonstrate experience and accomplishments related to the Asia Foundation’s fields of expertise: economic development, governance, and law, gender equality, environment and climate action, regional corporation, and women’s empowerment
• Must be an inspiring leader within their profession and must be thoughtful, committed, and respected within their community
• The applicant must be under 40 years of age
• Moreover, the individual must be conversant in English. However, TOEFL scores are not mandatory
• The applicant must be willing to participate in all program components of the program on the specified dates 

Asia Foundation Development Fellows Program Selection Process

The Asia Foundation Development Fellows Program is highly competitive. The Asia Foundation staff will assess the applications of each applicant. However, the final selection is held by a distinguished committee with expertise in Asian needs and development. Moreover, the identity of the nominees will remain confidential throughout the selection process.
