Study Abroad: Amsterdam Merit Scholarship for Master’s in Psychology Applications Open; Apply by 1st March 

 Amsterdam Merit Scholarship for a Master’s in Psychology is available to international students for the academic year 2024. The University of Amsterdam has launched this scholarship to attract the world’s brightest minds to its international classrooms. Students outside the European Economic Area can apply for this scholarship. The scholarship would cover part of the tuition fees. However, to apply students must receive an unconditional acceptance from the university to enroll in any of the  Master’s tracks -1 year Master’s program in psychology or Research Master’s psychology. Interested applicants can apply for the award before 1 March 2024. 

Amsterdam Merit Scholarship for Master’s in Psychology Eligibility 

The Amsterdam Merit Scholarship (AMS) for Master’s in Psychology eligibility requirements are as follows;

• The applicant must be an international student (outside EEA)
• Must have received an unconditional offer letter from the University of Amsterdam 
• Moreover, the student must be enrolling in September 2024 in either 1 year Master’s program in psychology or Research Master’s psychology. 
• Additionally, the student must meet the English language requirement of the university. For example, an IELTS score of a minimum of 7.0 on the academic module, with a minimum score of 6.5 for the separate components of the test. A TOEFL score of 100 is also acceptable.
• The student must have received any other financial assistance to complete their studies at the university

Amsterdam Merit Scholarship for Master’s in Psychology Application Process 

Candidates must simultaneously apply for the AMS and the Master’s program. While sending the admission application to MyInfo, interested students must select ‘Yes’ in response to the provided question. Generally, the question is ‘Will you be applying to one of the UvA scholarships?’. No additional steps are necessary for the scholarship.

The Amsterdam Merit Scholarship for Master’s in Psychology application deadline is 1 March 2024. The admission committee will notify the application by early May 2024 about the scholarship decision. It is important to note that the Amsterdam Merit Scholarship for a Master’s in Psychology will be given only for 1 year.
