Do International Students Get Merit Stipends at James Cook University?
Not Anymore. The International Merit Stipend is a scholarship that was offered to upcoming international students at the university. The scholarship was available to both undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students. The benefit was a living allowance of A$400 in fortnightly payments. No application was necessary.
However, this scholarship has been discontinued. This means that the university will no longer consider your application for the International Merit Stipend. However, your admissions application will automatically be considered for another scholarship. That is, the International Excellence Scholarship.
