Singular Nouns Definition
The definition of a singular noun is similar to that of a noun. As per the Cambridge Dictionary, a singular noun is a noun that refers to a place, thing, person, event, etc. It is used in contrast with the plural noun which addresses more than one person, thing or event.
A common example of a singular noun can be ‘a cat’ which refers to only one cat. Whereas in plural noun, it will refer to ‘cats’ referring to more than one cat.
