Ranchod Das Chachad. A name most of the students are reminded of to learn to succeed in life irrespective of the situation. The story of the movie and the acting are commendable. An intelligent guy, with the zest to study, the family conditions and the strategy to make his dream come true! It was all in all a very perfect combination of fun and motivation. The motivation that has taken you abroad to study now if I am right! Tell me, did you not imagine yourself as Rancho when the movie was at its end, and the guy was at the peak of his success? Did you not think of how your life would be if be in his place? And did you not feel a bit lucky considering being born into a settled family that can afford your studies? We all did! We all have taken our share of inspiration from it. But I feel we need more fun. Let’s create our fun. How would it be if Rancho was a backbencher?

The hustler

The character of the backbenchers is usually of a let goer but being Rancho, this is not going to be the case. Even after being the nasty one, the guy must have been on the top list of the scorers. He must be full of life and at the same time full of knowledge. The thirst in him for knowledge will not go anywhere, whatever he becomes. Teachers have a view and and image of the backbenchers. They might not be able to recognize the potential of Rancho due to his place in class, but that will not define his potential.

Fun classes

In the movie, it was just the group of three and yet there was no one entertained. What if he had the whole class? What if all of those three had the whole batch? The laughter would be uncountable, the fun would be never-ending and the college life would be as stress-free as it can be. It requires a lot of creative ideas and a big heart to become an entertainer. And for sure rancho and his friends had that in them. Can you even expect a class to be non-boring with just some nerdy kids and teachers teaching? What makes the classes fun is the students like Ranco and other backbenchers. 

Innovation

Innovation needs a very fresh and agile mind. And Rancho had the best of the inventors can have. The out-of-the-box thinking, the ideas that are never thought of before, the solutions that no one can provide. And when it is to be circulated in the whole class the ideas are already going to be tested and worthy. Like the Virus, if you remember. His bach would become the creative bach of all and seeing him all of the other classmates would try to outdo themselves making the environment very positive and competitive. 

Friend circle

One makes friends like themselves. The ones who have similar interests, similar hobbies, similar lifestyles and similar sitting positions in the class. A backbencher will always choose a backbencher as his friend rather than someone who sits in front and keeps his eyes buried in the books. However, I feel like the friends would be very highly influenced by him. They will learn to live from him, they will learn to be fun, entertaining and intelligent like him. They will know how to succeed in life and be different from the crowd. He would have friends for life and with whom he would make the best memories.

Class learnings

Rancho is not someone who abides by traditional laws. He knows when and what requires change. When is it important to have differences in the view and teachings? Teaching that goes on inside the classrooms is by the old and traditional methods, but due to the change in the generation, the mindset has changed, the understanding perception has changed but the method remains the same. If the method of teaching changes a lot would become easier, and things would get easier to learn. The concepts would get clear and the understanding would become easier. I am sure he would make this change come. He would make the teachings creative and fun so that actual learning takes place in class and not just teachings. 

Be the change 

We can not attempt Rancho to be just like a normal person, who goes to college, learns, goes home, eats, hangout and studies. He would be someone who sees the change, and more importantly, be the change he wants to see. He is the revolutioniseer, who changes the world to be a better place. He would give his college new ways of teaching, new concepts, and innovative ideas and he would give new meaning to the education system and learning. 

Be it whatever, if Rancho is a topper or a Backbencher, the guy will not stop to motivate us. He will become an inspiration in all possible ways. The changes he will bring to the world by his thinking will be not only remembered but be grateful for. All we can say to Rancho even as a backbencher is “Jahapana tussi great ho!”.
