The Indus Towers Scholarship Program is an educational scholarship program to support children with disabilities in their higher education. It was implemented on March 9, 2016, in Guwahati (Assam). The CSR initiative of Indus Towers Ltd (Bharti Infratel Ltd) is administered by the Shishu Sarothi Centre for rehabilitation and training for multiple disabled students living in Assam. It has already supported 464 scholars across 8 states of North East India, i.e. Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.

Objectives of Indus Towers Scholarship Program 2023
This scheme is very helpful for students who come from underprivileged and marginalised communities in North East India. The main objective of the scholarship is to encourage students with disabilities to complete their higher education from higher secondary, graduation, post-graduation and all other professional courses and beyond.
The scholarship will be awarded to the student based on the eligibility criteria and all other supporting documents that will be provided by the student for verification. The scholarship amount will cover the student’s admission fee, tuition fee and examination fee.
Award of Indus Towers Scholarship Program 2023
The award price for the students pursuing higher secondary/diploma/coaching will not exceed an upper limit of INR 2 lakhs. The award for students pursuing graduation/post-graduation/diploma/professional courses will not exceed INR 5 lakhs.
The scholarship will be allocated as per fee declaration by the educational institution of the student in its “Information Release Form”. If by any chance there is any correction/revision required in the allocation of scholarship, the scholar must report the same in an application written to the Executive Director, Shishu Sarothi with an attached copy of the fee declaration from the educational institute.

Eligibility Criteria
There are two categories for eligibility in the Indus Towers Scholarship Program 2023. The category-wise eligibility criteria for this scholarship are mentioned below. Students are advised to read each of them attentively before applying for the scholarship.
Category 1
- Students must belong to the state of North East India, i.e. Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Manipur and Tripura.
- The age of students must be between 14 – 30 years.
- Students must provide class 10th or above educational certificates.
- Students must have benchmark disability, i.e, 45% as per the disability certificate.
Category 2
- Student must belong to the state of North East India, i.e. Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Manipur and Tripura
- The age limit is between 17 and 30 years.
- Students must have benchmark disability, i.e, 40% and above as per the disability certificate.
- Students must have 10+2 educational certificates.
Application Process of Indus Towers Scholarship Program 2023
