DU Signs MoUs with Foreign Universities at G20 Summit

India ventured into the presidency of the G20 2023 on December 1, 2022. The events are to be hosted across 55 locations in the country. The events will end in the month of September 2023 with a Summit in Delhi. 

The Vice-Chancellor of DU, Yogesh Singh said, ‘As India is taking the presidency of the G20, there are many plans and educational activities we are looking forward to the present. We have formed a group of people who are planning towards the execution of the programme. We would like to showcase our university.’ 

What Does it Mean for Indian Students? 

In one of the events, Delhi University incorporated a committee to chalk out a plan and bring out the most from India’s G20 Presidency Summit. The committee is established to look after the internationalisation of Indian Education through student exchange programmes and partnering with foreign universities and institutions. 

The DU committee has 10 members, to carry out, establish, create and execute the activities and events as planned. The committee plans to use this opportunity to encourage and boost education at an international level. 

An official stated, ‘There will be multiple other programmes such as entrepreneurial conclaves, G20 Conclave and Model United Nations Conclave for students to images with delegates of the G20 members are 

“There will also be several programmes such as entrepreneurial conclaves, a Model United Nations and a G20 Conclave for students of the varsity to engage with delegates of G20 member nations,” an official said.
