About JNU Campus

The overall campus area of JNU is about 1000 acres and currently, around 7300 students are residing in 17 Hostels and studying under 550 reputed faculties.

Jawaharlal Nehru University Campus has its own 24/7 central library with reading halls. The library is Wi-Fi enabled which allows users to access offline as well as online information at any point of the day. The library uses Virtual Integrated Library Management Software (VTLS). It also provides access to 22 databases through UGC-Infonet consortia. 

The library includes a unique collection of one lakh plus e-Books which are from several international publishers. Lastly, school-wise libraries and air-conditioned reading halls are also available.

The hostel system of the Jawaharlal Nehru University campus is very spacious and well-furnished which includes 18 hostels along with an accommodation capacity of more than 5500 for boys and girls. There is also one separate complex for married students. 

There is a hostel facility for working women with an accommodation capacity of 201 inmates. The hostel provides hygienic foods, while the hostel provides its students with recreational facilities like TVs, Indoor games, health clubs, PCOs etc.

Sports Complex

Jawaharlal Nehru University Campus also has its own sports complex. Students can play sports like Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Football, Tennis, Athletics, Taekwondo, Weight-Lifting Mountaineering and Trekking.

The interesting part, JNU Campus also comes with several labs such as Computer Lab, Language Lab, Linux Lab, Oracle Lab and Microprocessor Lab.

Some other facilities which are provided by JNU are a cafeteria, gym, hospital/medical facilities, Wi-Fi Campus, Convenience Store, Human Resource Development Center, Guest Houses, Convention Center, Bank and ATM, Post Office, International, Conference and Seminar Hall and others.
