Selection Process for PU UG Law
To get admission to their desired courses students must fulfil the eligibility criteria decided by the Punjab University:
- The applicant must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the 10+2 (or equivalent ) qualifying examination. For SC/ST category students the minimum marks are 45%.
- The score of the UG Law exam will be the second selection criterion for the candidate.
- After all this a merit list will be prepared and a cut-off will be generated and shortlisted candidates will be called for counselling.
Merit List for PU UG Law
After Panjab University declares the results of the PU UG law exam, a preliminary merit list will be prepared of all the qualifying candidates. The selected candidates will now have to fill out an online PU UG law admission form. Applicants who fill out the admission form and submit it online in due time will be considered for the final list.
This final list will have the names of all the selected students who will be called for the counselling process. This list will have the names of the candidates according to their ranks.
After the final list, the authorities will release the PU UG counselling schedule.

PU UG Law counselling
The PG UG law counselling will be conducted in an offline mode. The university generates a schedule for offline counselling with the time and date. Students have to visit the venue with the required documents. We have mentioned all the documents below:
- Birth Certificate of the candidate
- Character certificate
- 10th and 12th mark sheets(original)
- Gap year affidavit (if any)
- Copy of candidate’s Identity proof (Aadhar card/Voter ID/ Driving License)
- Reserve Category Certificate (if applicable)

Yes, if you have your name on the PU UG law merit list you need to fill out an application form and authorities will select the candidates accordingly.
