The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to announce the schedule for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG counselling 2023 on their official website mcc.nic.in this week.
While there hasn’t been an official confirmation from the examination authorities, reports suggest that the counselling session will likely commence in July 2023.
Students are shortlisted for BDS or MBBS courses in India under AIQ, deemed institutions, and ESIC/AFMS through the NEET UG 2023 Counselling Process, based on NEET 2023 results.
Qualifying in the NEET UG 2023 cutoff is the criteria to participate in NEET counselling rounds. NTA NEET counselling is available in two types: All India and State.

Steps to Apply for NEET UG 2023 Counselling

Once the NTA NEET counselling 2023 dates are announced, follow these steps for registering yourself:
Step 1: First of all, visit the official website of MCC (mcc.nic.in).
Step 2: Click on the link which says “New Registration NEET UG 2023 Counselling” on the homepage.
Step 3: Key in the necessary credentials like NEET UG roll number and NEET application number in the newly opened tab.
Step 4: Now, login again using your roll number.
Step 5: Properly fill the NEET UG 2023 Counselling form and pay the required fee.
Step 6: Complete the choice-filling process by choosing your desired colleges.

Counselling Rounds in NEET UG 2023
There are going to be 4 rounds of NEET 2023 counselling, namely Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round.
There are going to be additional rounds of counselling as well to fill up the vacant seats after the first 4 rounds of NEET UG 2023 counselling. The number of rounds may increase on the basis of seat vacancy.
Eligibility Criteria for NEET 2023 Counselling
In order to participate in the NEET 2023 counselling process, you need to meet the following eligibility criteria:
- You must have qualified the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
- You need to have registered on the official website of MCC.
- All the applicants, including candidates from the UT of J&K, are able to take part in the counselling for AIQ seats and deemed universities.
