ISI Admission Test: The Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) administers the Indian Statistical Institute Admission Test, known as the ISI Admission Test, to students seeking entrance to the ISI’s undergrad and doctoral programmes. Admission to the ISI Kolkata academic programmes is entirely based on the merits of the candidates as determined by their scores in ISI admission tests and personal interviews.

For the purpose of evaluating the performance, the candidate’s previous educational history may also be considered. The ISI entrance test will be held at 38 different locations across the country in 2023. The ISI admission test is a national-level admissions test that is administered offline.

ISI Admission Test Eligibility 

Candidates should keep in mind that before registering for the ISI entrance test, they must check that all eligibility requirements are met. The following are the eligibility requirements:

B.Stat

• To be eligible for the B.Stat candidate must have finished and passed the 10+2 exam or equivalent examination. 
• The candidate has to have completed and passed Mathematics and English in their 10+2 or equivalent exam.

B.Math

• To be eligible for the B.Math candidate must have finished and passed the 10+2 exam or equivalent examination. 
• The candidate has to have completed and passed Mathematics and English in their 10+2 or equivalent exam.

B.Tech

• To be eligible for the B.Tech candidates must have a Master’s degree in Information Technology/ Mathematics/Computer Applications/Statistics/Computer Science/ Physics/ Electronic Science/  or
• BE/B. Tech. degree or any other qualification considered equivalent for example DOEACC ‘B’ Level or AMIE

ISI Admission Test Apply Online

The exam authority will make the ISI admission test application form available on its official website. To register for the ISI admission test, candidates must fulfil the requirements outlined below.

• Navigate to the official website of the ISI admission test.
• Fill out the registration form to set up a login account. 
• Log in with the assigned credentials and fill out the ISI admission exam application form with the necessary information.
• Upload required papers, including a picture and signature, in the format specified. 
• Pay the application fee via Net Banking, a debit or credit card.

ISI Admission Test Exam Pattern

ISI announces the ISI Admission Test pattern. The question paper for the ISI Admission Test is broken into two parts. The paper is of 100 marks in total with 100 questions. Candidates can learn more about the exam pattern in the table below.

ISI Entrance Test Results 

The ISI Admission Test 2023 results are expected in the 2nd week of June. Candidates who take the admission exam must visit the Indian Statistical Institute’s official website to view the results, which will be available online. Candidates who pass the exam will be invited to an interview, which will take place on campus. 

Candidates may check their ISI entrance test results by following the steps outlined below.

• Go to the Indian Statistical Institute’s official website and look for the ISI Test. 
• Once on the official website’s homepage, click on the ‘Admission’ tab, which would be displayed on the tab. 
• The candidate will be led to a new website page. The candidate must next click on the ‘ISI Results’ link. 
• The candidate must then log in to view the results. The scorecard will be displayed on the screen.
• Candidates can save and download fr future reference. 

Interview 

Candidates who pass the ISI Admission Test will be invited to an interview on campus. The faculty members will be present and will conduct an interview with the candidate based on their performance in the ISI entrance test and past academic performance. 

Merit List 

Following the conclusion of the interview phase, a merit list will be made accessible online. The merit list will also be available on the university’s official website. The merit list will include the names of candidates who passed both the entrance exam and the interview process. The merit list will be compiled based on the following criteria: 

• Number of candidates that took the exam
• Average marks obtained
• The total number of seats is
• Academic History

Candidates whose names appear on the merit list must print their scorecards and bring them to the counselling session, which will take place a week after the results are released. 

ISI Admission Counselling 

Candidates who have been shortlisted must arrive at least 30 minutes before the allocated time for the ISI Counseling 2023. To get their medical fitness certificate, candidates must first report to the Medical Welfare Unit on the ISI Hostel site on any day during the mentioned days.

Candidates must bring their most recent clinical test results for Blood Sugar (P.P.) and Urine (regular examination) with them. These tests should have been performed lately at a reputable and standard medical laboratory. In order to provide a Medical Fitness Certificate, the ISI Kolkata Medical Officer would review the candidates and their reports. Candidates must report to the Dean’s office with their guardian after successfully obtaining the Medical Fitness Certificate.
