IIST 2023 Application Process
All Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) applicants will have to follow some steps before applying for this university. In order to apply for the same, all IIST candidates will have to go through the same steps, which include, Registration, IIST Password, procurement of Enrollment ID, Filling the Application form and uploading scanned photographs and other necessary documents, payment of online fees etc.
Here are all the steps which will need to be followed in order to apply for this university:
Step 1: Registration
In order to register for the same, all students/ applicants will have to provide some of their necessary details such as date of birth, name, email address, contact details, residence address, choice of stream, specializations, entrance exa, details and much more.
Step 2: Uploading documents
At the time of filling out the application form, all students will be required to digitally upload their recent passport-size photograph along with their signature. Keep in mind, that the file needs to be submitted within the specified size limit in the form.
Step 3: Submission of Application Form
Once the above-mentioned steps are completed, a confirmation notification will soon pop up on the screen. After reading the same, the student will need to click on ‘I accept the terms and conditions.’
The application form will for one last time appear on the screen and after going through the form, the students will click on Save and Print.
It is very necessary that the students take a printout of all the forms. After this, the student will be given a Payment ID for reference which will be helpful in paying the application process.
Step 4: Payment of Fees
The payment for the application form can be paid through online mode by using a debit/credit card or by net banking. The amount once paid will not be refunded at any point in time. The option of paying the fees will only come after the application form has been completed and submitted.
Step 5: Confirmation of the Application Form
Once the payment for the application form has been made, the students will receive an online receipt on their contact details. This will show the completion of the registration process.
At the same time, the student will also get a confirmation mail on their registered email, where they will get a PDF file of the application form as well as a payment receipt. One needs to take a printout of all the documents and keep it for future reference.

IIST Exam 2023 Eligibility
It is very important for all the candidates who are applying to be a part of this university to know the eligibility criteria. This will help in understanding whether they are qualified to be part of the same or not. Here are the eligibility criteria:
General Eligibility
- The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- The candidate must be a native residence certificate of the resided state and justify their local stay.
- When reporting for the university’s admission process, he/she must submit the following documents; birth certificate, and medical fitness which will be used in verifying their age criteria and physical capability.
Eligibility for UG courses
In order to be eligible for UG courses, the student must be under the age of 21. He/She must have passed their 10th and 12th board exams from a recognized school with an aggregate of 75 per cent and 65 per cent for the SC/ST category. The students must have also studied physics, chemistry, and mathematics. They must have also taken the JEE Advanced exam with a merit card with minimum qualifying marks.
Eligibility for PG courses
The student’s age limit must be 32 years, and a few relaxations can be given. The applicant must have completed their UG degree with B.Tech/B.E from any recognized university with a qualifying 60 per cent mark and 55 per cent marks for reserved category students. They must have also taken some of the qualifying exams which include, GATE, UGC NET/ JEST.

- The question paper of IIST 2023 will consist of 120 multiple-choice questions and there will be 3 sections in the IIST 2023 question paper on the subjects of physics, chemistry and mathematics.
- The exam for IIST 2023 will be conducted in offline mode.
- The duration of the exam is 2 hours.
- Three marks will be awarded to the students for each right answer.
- While one mark will be deducted from the total marks scored in IIST Entrance Exam 2023.
