How to Calculate the Value of Pi?

The value of π is calculated using the pi formula, which is:

Value of Pi in Degrees
The value of Pi in degrees can be simply calculated using the ratio of the circle’s circumference to its diameter. The circumference of the circle is 2πr, and its diameter is 2r, where r is the circle’s radius. Also, in the case of a complete circle, the angle subtended in the centre of the circle is 360°, and there are two half circles in a circle divided by a diameter.
The ratio of the circumference to the diameter yields the value of pi.
2πr/2r = 360°/2
π radians = 180°

- A boy goes around a circle with a diameter of 100 metres; how far has he walked?
Solution:
Distance walked = Circumference
Circumference = π × 100m = 314.159 m
Therefore, distance walked =314.159 m
- Find the circumference of a circle which has a radius of 12 cm.
Solution:
Given,
Radius of Circle (r) = 12 cm
Circumfernce of Circle (C) = 2πr
Value of Pi = 3.14
⇒ C = 2 ⨉ (3.14) ⨉ (12)
⇒ C = 75.36 cm
- Calculate the circumference of the circle, whose diameter is 18 cm.
Solution:
Formula of Circumference, c = π × d.
Therefore, the value of d, we get;
C = π x 18
=3.14 x 18
= 56.52 cm
