AWES PRT Selection Process 2023

Stages of AWES PRT Selection Process

The candidates applying for the AWES Primary Teacher position have to go through a selection process. The selection process consists of three stages. Candidates must be well aware of all the rounds of AWES PRT selection process. The three rounds are as follows:

• Screening Test or Written Examination
• Interview
• Evaluation of Teaching Skills and Computer Proficiency

Screening Test/ Written Test

This is the first round of AWES PRT selection process. The test is conducted online and the candidate has to answer 200 Multiple Choice questions in 3 hours. The candidate will be rewarded with 1 mark for every correct answer. For incorrect responses, ¼ mark will be deducted from the overall score.

Candidates who have obtained 50% marks in the screening test will be eligible for the interview round. The validity of this APS scorecard is for a lifetime. However, the candidate has taken up a teaching job within three years of the test in any CBSE-affiliated school for one year.

Interview

Candidates who got the scorecard will be allowed to sit in the second round of the selection process. The Personal interview will be conducted by the Army Welfare Education Society(AWES) as per the vacancy. The vacancy will be published in the local newspapers or on the websites of schools. 

Evaluation of Teaching Skills and Computer Proficiency

In the third round, an evaluation will be conducted for Language teachers. The candidates have to write an essay and comprehension which will of 15 marks. The exam authorities may also hold a Computer Proficiency Test (CPT).

AWES PRT Selection Points

Candidates must keep in mind some important points regarding AWES PRT Selection Process. Let us look at some of these points:

• The appointments will be made based on AWES/CBSE rules.
• If a candidate obtains a scorecard, it doesn’t mean that he is selected for the announced post. The scorecard only allows the candidate to appear for further selection rounds.
• TET/CTET is not required for appearing in the online screening test.
• The exam authorities may conduct additional screening rounds if the number of candidates is relatively large.
