What is the Full Form of IPS?

The full form of IPS is Indian Police Service, which, along with IAS and IFoS, is one of the three arms of All India Services. The Ministry of Home Affairs is the IPS’s cadre controlling authority. In 1948, it took over from the Indian Imperial Police. An IPS officer must safeguard the safety of citizens by upholding the rule of law.
