Webster University, established in 1915 functions as an independent American university with multiple branch locations. The university offers accredited undergraduate and graduate school education. The University started out with just 5 students and the first graduating class of the University consisted of just two women. More than 10,000 individuals living and working around the world are currently engaged with the University. Webster University has been accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) continuously since 1925. The QS World University ranking puts it in the range of 801-1000 and Times Higher Education ranks it in the range of 501-600. 

Infrastructure, Campuses, and Courses

The university branch at Irvine is convenient to Orange County, Newport and Laguna Beach along with small class sizes that help students to develop better networking opportunities and efficient learning outcomes. Other main campuses in the US are in St. Louis and Orlando. Film & Video Production, Cinematography, Nursing and Business Administration are among the list of Webster’s most popular programs across various schools and colleges utilizing a semester-based academic calendar. Also, there are various online courses at undergraduate and graduate levels noted by rankers. Major faculties are the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Fine Arts, the School of Business and Technology, School of Communication and School of Education. Accomplishments and Alumni

Founded in 1923, the Alumni Association fosters the goal of creating a constant connection between the alumni with their alma mater. The music programs and degrees have been accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music. Drew Jordon, a motion designer for the New York Times and an alumn of the Webster University was recently awarded the Pulitzer Prize.

In 1939, the first visually challenged student graduated from the University and in 1950, the first black student graduated.
