Established in 1956, the University of South Florida is a public research university in South Florida, USA. Today, it is the 4th largest university in South Florida and the 11th largest public university in the United States. It is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The university has academic affiliations with SURA, Sea grant and Space grant. Furthermore, it is also accredited to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The global rankings of this university stand between #581-590 by the QS World University Rankings, at #298 according to the U.S. News Best Global Universities Rankings 2022 and between #201-250 as per THE World University Rankings 2022. Nationally, it is tied at #228th place by the Forbes Rankings 2022. 

Infrastructure, Campuses and Courses 

Its three campuses are located in Tampa, St. Petersburg and Sarasota. The University of South Florida's 1,913-acre campus is one of the largest in the country. The university is well-equipped with all of the necessary amenities for students' personal and academic needs. Students at USF have access to engagement opportunities, recreational outlets, on-campus housing, health and wellness services, eating facilities, and much more through the Division of Student Affairs. The University of South Florida is further divided into 14 colleges and is known for more than 200 undergraduate and postgraduate courses that it offers altogether. The University also offers one-of-a-kind courses that prepare students for their professional careers along with financial assistance and scholarships to deserving students. Accomplishments and Alumni 

The university is also classified among "R1: Doctoral Universities – Very high research activity". It is not only known for the type of education it delivers but it also focuses on extracurricular development and also offers a competitive platform to all the sports lovers here. All its sports teams are known as the South Florida Bulls and primarily compete in the American Athletic Conference of NCAA Division I. The University of South Florida boasts a long list of accomplishments, and the number is growing all the time. This university's major accomplishments include the Grassroots Leadership Program, which has graduated over 485 community members, the Central American Youth Ambassadors (CAYA) and Cooperative Association of States for Scholarship (CASS) Programs, which are run in collaboration with Georgetown University and have graduated over 90 students from six Central American and Caribbean countries, and so on. The University of South Florida boasts a long list of distinguished alumni who have gone on to become specialists in various professions including Jamal Nassar (Dean of California State University), Mark Chung (member of the US Men’s National Soccer Team) and Grace Byers (actress).

The University of South Florida is committed to diversity. It has an enrollment of 51,000 students approximately consisting of 37,000 undergraduates, 12,000 postgraduates and 2000 students studying doctoral-level degree programs. Students who are Asian, African American, Native Hawaiian, American Indian, Hispanic, or Other Pacific Islander, or multiracial, make up 42% of the university's entire student body. At the University of South Florida, 141 nations are represented, and multi-cultural learning is always promoted.
