Universidad Iberoamericana (IBERO) is a private institution for higher education in Mexico. It was founded on March 7, 1943. The institution is entrusted to the Society of Jesus and its educational model is therefore inspired by it. Main characteristics of IBERO’s educational model is utility, promotion of justice, experience of faith, academic excellence, ethical responsibility, and humanistic formation. The institution is based on the twin principles of academic leadership and social commitment. The IBERO offers a wide range of programs which are specifically designed to meet the requirements for professional training. Students can choose from 36 undergraduate programs at IBERO. The university offers six undergraduate and 44 graduate degrees to its students. In addition to this, 11 doctorate, 28 master’s degrees and 5 specialty courses are also offered to students. IBERO is located in West Mexico which is a hub for national as well as international companies and businesses. The university is committed to the well being of not only its students and staff but also the environment. IBERO has a green campus and the university launches several campaigns for the conservation of water and energy, management of solid waste, and other environment-related issues. In 2013, IBERO incorporated technical career programs and currently, it offers six technical career programs namely, Graphic Production, Hotels and Restaurants, Administrative and Accounting Systems, Software, Mechanical Design and Manufacturing, and Social Project Management.
