Situated in the city of Peru, France, Universidad de Lima or the University of Lima was founded in the year 1962. Started with 120 students and 2 faculties, the university now houses more than 15,000 students on its 2-acre campus. It offers 12 undergraduate, and 5 postgraduate degree programs spread across 5 faculties namely, The Faculty of Law, Faculty of Communication, Faculty of Psychology, Faculty of Business and Economics, and The Faculty of Engineering and Architecture. These courses are taught both in English and Spanish languages. Universidad de Lima also houses a Scientific Research Institute(IDIC) which promotes and manages the research activities carried out by the academic staff. Apart from IDIC, the university also has domain-specific centres working in areas like Corporate Governance, Audiovisual Creation, Economics, Banking and Finance, Textile Innovation, and Sustainable Development. The University of Lima provides its students with a platform to develop and enhance their personal and professional skills through artistic and sports workshops, recreational and extracurricular activities, and student associations. Enrique Javier Cornejo Ramirez(politician), and Mávila Huertas(journalist, actress) are some of the noted alumni of the university.
