Also known as Saint Paul’s University, Rikkyo is one of the renowned Japanese universities and has been ranked amongst the six leading universities in Tokyo. Founded in the year 1874, the university is situated in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. It is the largest Anglican church universities of Japan and began as a small boarding school that taught English and Bible studies. Further, the average endowment value of the university is estimated at around 435 million dollars or 50 billion Japanese Yuan. Rikkyo University offers a wide range of undergraduate, graduate and doctoral courses in an array of disciplines. The university faculty comprises of an academic staff of around 620 full-time members and 1600 part-time teachers and academic scholars. The university is home to around 19,000 students enrolled in undergraduate programs and 1400 students studying graduate courses at the university. The main campus is spread across 400 acres of land and is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including digital classrooms, science labs, amongst others.
