History, Affiliations and Rankings
Established in 1984 at Regent's Park, Regent's University London is one of the only independent and non-profit universities of London. The first students arrived in 1985 and a steady flow from the USA has continued despite the pressures of world events. Gradually, other institutions began to take up residence on the campus. The European Business School arrived in 1985, followed by the School of Psychotherapy and Counseling in 1990. Regent's Business School was set up in 1997. These schools formally merged in 2006 to become Regent's College London. Programs in drama, film and media were launched in 2010 and in 2013 the College began to offer programs in fashion and design, through the acquisition of AIU in Marylebone. In 2012 Regent's College gained its own taught-degree awarding powers and the following year the institution was awarded university status, becoming Regent's University London in June 2013. Regents University London is affiliated with Universities UK. US News ranks Regents University London at #=277 in National Universities and #=100 in Top Performers on Social Mobility.
Infrastructure, Campuses and Courses
The university is spread across two campuses, one in the heart of London at Regent's park and the other one in Marylebone Village. The university offers comprehensive and dynamic programs to its students at all levels, right from undergraduate programs to postgraduate and doctoral programs.
