Bachelor of Science in Computer Science is a 4-year degree which prepares students in the application of fundamental computing principles and software development skills

The program enables students to achieve, by the time of graduation:

• an ability to apply knowledge of computing and mathematics appropriate to the discipline
• an ability to analyze a problem, and identify and define the computing requirements appropriate to its solution

• The Traditional BSN is a full-time, four-semester, upper-division option for students who have completed 56 credits and prerequisite coursework
• The program provides a broad professional preparation - integrating biological, physical and behavioral sciences as well as the humanities
• The College of Nursing's Traditional BSN program is designed to develop highly qualified, caring professionals to meet the healthcare needs of individuals, families, and populations

• Curriculum is hardware-oriented, including electronics theory and application
• Students obtain a strong mathematical foundation and hands-on experience in microprocessor design

• Places emphasis on the fundamentals of science and mathematics and their application to the solution of contemporary problems that are within the purview of professional electrical engineers

• The program integrates individual mastery of core subjects in fluid mechanics, thermal engineering, mechanical systems, and solid mechanics with teamwork-based solutions to open-ended design problems, real-world experiences, and experimental techniques. • The M.S. degree in Civil Engineering is intended to provide training depth in specific areas of expertise beyond the Bachelor’s degree. Such training can accelerate career development and increase opportunities
• The M.S. training is also intended to provide a deeper technical background on the selected specialty so as to prepare for further academic training. The program is therefore structured to provide students with fundamental core training in the expertise of choice with enough freedom to direct the advanced training towards the student’s career goals
• The M.S. degree is being increasingly thought of as the first professional degree for Civil Engineering practice. As such, the program requires students to perform at high levels of technical competency and demonstrate the ability to perform independent work. Both theoretical and applied elements are emphasized and reinforced through a combination of core and elective courses as well as independent research options

• The Department of Computer Science and Engineering offers graduate study leading to the Master of Science (M.S.) degree
• The student must complete a total of 30 credits for the degree under either Plan A (with thesis) or Plan B (without thesis)

• MS in Business Analytics is a 30-credit comprehensive program of study that can be tailored to fit students professional needs and goals
• The MS in Business Analytics is offered by the Broad College of Business, in partnership with the College of Engineering and College of Natural Science
• The main themes of the program focus on business strategy, data management, and experiential project consulting
• The M.S. in Business Analytics is a STEM-certified degree that provides international students authorization to work in the U.S. for up to three years (24 months of STEM OPT extension beyond the regular 12-month OPT)

• The emphasis in the graduate programs in chemical engineering is placed upon a fundamental approach to chemical engineering principles and the applications of chemistry and advanced mathematics
• Selected topics in chemical engineering are developed from a fundamental viewpoint, with opportunity for study and research in such areas as process design; thermodynamics; chemical reaction engineering; mass, heat, and momentum transfer; separations; polymers and composite materials; nanomaterials; and biochemical and biomedical engineering

• MS in Marketing Research is a 1-year full-time degree offered at Broad College of Business that also includes an internship period 
• A Broad MSMR degree provides students invaluable preparation for excellent employment opportunities and a fulfilling career in marketing research, be it with corporations, strategic consulting organizations, advertising agencies and/or marketing research firms

• There are three categories of M.S. program offered by the Department of Mechanical Engineering at MSU: Thesis Option, Project Option, and Coursework Option
