The University was originally established as the New Zealand Agricultural Act in the year 1926, in Palmerston North, in New Zealand. Later in 1927, the name of the university changes to Massey University. The college is considered to be the sixth constituent college of the University of New Zealand. Massey university have an annual revenue of around $374 million. The university is known to host the National Center of Tertiary Teaching Excellence. Massey University has 3 campuses located in Manawatu in North Palmerston, Albany, Wellington. The campus in Manawatu has more than 9000 students, campus in Albany has more than 5000 students, and the campus in Wellington has more than 4000 students. The university has two biggest National research institutes in the country. Massey University is the only university in New Zealand that offers students with a degree in dispute resolution, medicine, aviation, veterinary, and nanoscience . The Massey University provides courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Their total staff consists of 3,311 members. The university is known to have taught a total of 30,883 students, out of which 27,251 were undergraduate students, and 7,212 students were postgraduate students, and 1,046 were doctoral students. Out of which 4,300 students were international students from 100 different countries. 14% of the total population at the university is covered by international students. Massey University is the 10th largest user of Information and Communication Technology in New Zealand.
