History, Affiliations and Rankings

Established in 1971, MacEwan University gives understudy centred guidance in a warm and strong climate. We centre around educating. In 1991, Construction starts on the new City Center Campus expanding on previous CN rail yards, situated on the north edge of downtown Edmonton. In 1993, the City Center Campus opens. In 1996, Grant MacEwan Community College commenced its 25th commemoration. Also, In 1999, The school was renamed Grant MacEwan College. MacEwan's academic affiliations are with AUCC, ACCC, AACTI, CBIE, CUP, and CIS. MacEwan has also received many high scores on the National Survey of Student Engagement. It is also ranked the 4th most sustainable university in Canada. And A+ grade for instructor’s teaching style and class size by Globe and Mail’s Canadian University Report.
