Husson University is a private educational institution located in Bangor, Maine. Established in the year 1898, the campus is spread across a sprawling 208 acres of land in a suburban setting. The university also has campuses in Westbrook and Presque Isle, making it the largest private university in the state. Every year, more than 3,000 students enroll in various UG, PG, and Doctoral programs across four colleges and two schools. The 4 colleges namely are: The College of Business, The College of Health and Education, Science and Humanities College, the School of Pharmacy, and the New England School of Communications. Husson University boasts of its high-quality education which is delivered through world-class faculty and a diverse and well-structured curriculum. The university offers students a platform to enhance their overall personality by joining various clubs and organizations based on their interests. Some of the famous clubs are The English Society, Accounting Society, Criminal Justice Club, Organization of Physical Therapy Students, and Outdoors Club. etc. The university also has an in-house residential facility that houses around 1200 students. Edward Youngblood (banker and former legislator), and James R. Flynn (country music songwriter) are some of the noted alumni. 89 percent of full-time undergraduates opt for financial aid and on average, the university grants $9,071 worth of scholarships.
