Founded in 1965, Durham University Business School is one of the UK's oldest business schools and is proud to be an integral part of Durham University. We believe that to be successful in business you need to get closer to the realities of business and that's exactly what we are doing. Triple accreditation or the Triple Crown is only achieved by a few of the best business schools in Europe. The Business School is privileged to be accredited by all three major accreditation organisations, AACSB, AMBA and EFMD or EQUIS. It is ranked at #30 in World University Rankings - Masters in Marketing, #54 in World University Rankings - Masters in Management and at #73 in World University Rankings - Masters in Finance.

From the latest library and IT services to a virtual learning environment, we have everything at your fingertips to get the most out of your learning. Durham University Business School is physically located on the Durham University campus and is within easy reach of all the facilities you will need during your stay with us, including the city centre, train station and the university. We have 3 departments which include Accounting, Economics and Finance, Management and Marketing. We provide MBA in the same faculties. The master’s degree is offered in Accounting, Business Analytics, Energy System Management, Economics, Finance, Management and Marketing. We offer PhD in the same streams. DBA (Doctor of Business Administration) is also provided by our Business School. In the bachelor’s courses, we have Accounting and Finance, Business and Management, Economics and Business and Marketing.
Accomplishments and Alumni
Durham University Business School is one of the world's leading business schools and is among an elite group of schools worldwide to hold internationally recognized triple accreditation, AACSB (the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business of the United States), AMBA (the Association of Masters of Business Administration of the United Kingdom ) and EQUIS (the European Quality Improvement System in Europe). The college holds full UK degree-granting powers which are reviewed by the UK's Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education. The University's Department of Economics and Finance and the Foundation for Small and Medium Enterprise Development converged with the business college in 2002 to turn into the School of Economics, Finance and Business, all the more generally known as Durham University Business School. The Business School has around 25,000 alumni from over 150 countries worldwide, Barry Rowland (Chief Executive of the Falkland Islands), Kerryann Ifill (president of the Senate, Barbados), and Anwar Choudhury (British High Commissioner to Bangladesh) are some of the alumni.
