The Astana Medical University is located at Nur-Sultan, the capital of Kazakhstan; formerly known as Astana. The university was founded in the year of 1997, and it is known as one of the most famous clinical institutions in Kazakhstan. The members' council gave its approval to the establishment of a medical facility in 1964. It began to be known as a clinical institution in 1997. It was given the designation of a university in 2009.
