University of Oslo Admissions Fee

The University of Oslo admissions for EU/EEA, Swiss and international students are free of cost, but they have to pay a mandatory semester registration fee of approximately NOK 550. Is the University of Oslo Free for Indian Students?

No. The University of Oslo is not free for Indian students. Tuition fees are applicable unless you are exempt from the tuition fee payment. Does the University of Oslo Require IELTS?

Yes. To study at the University of Oslo you need to clear an English proficiency test. This necessarily does not have to be the IELTS examination. You can also apply for any other recognised English language test like TOEFL. If you are taking the IELTS examination you need to secure at least a 6.5 score. It must be noted that Indian students who are educated in English medium schools may receive an IELTS waiver.

Is Oslo Expensive for Students?

Yes. Studying in Oslo is expensive for students. In fact, Oslo is known for some of the highest living expenses. Just to get a decent apartment you will have to pay around NOK 7,238 to NOK 15,510 NOK.

As an international student, you need at least NOK 12,600 monthly to cover your living expenses. Just for 1 semester at the University of Osl,o you need to pay NOK 23,000  for housing, NOK 5,000 for books and supplies, NOK 19,200 for food, and NOK 3,500 for transportation. The other expenses will be around NOK 12,500.
