The Oxford International Education Group (OIEG) and Edinburgh Napier University (ENU) have launched an embedded pathway college. This college is the first of its kind in Edinburgh. However, it is the second time that the OIEG has partnered with a Scottish University to launch such a Program.
The college will be called the Edinburgh Napier University International College (ENUIC). Moreover, ENU aims to invite international students through pathway programs offered by this college from January 2024 onwards. This initiative will help in diversifying the student ecosystem at ENU and also allow more international students to study in the UK.
What is ENUIC Offering?
ENUIC is offering 2 undergraduate pathway programs as well as 1 postgraduate pathway program to international students. Also, ENUIC is located on the campus of Merchiston and has easy access to student accommodation as well.
Furthermore, these pathway programs are introduced in support of building the academic and linguistic (English) calibre of international students. The programmes will allow students to attain short specialised classes in these fields as well as become a part of a diverse community and culturally rich city.
After successfully completing their pathway program, the students can also proceed and apply to any of the 24 Undergraduate and 12 Postgraduate courses offered at Edinburgh Napier University.
Offered Pathways
There are three pathways offered by ENUIC namely; International Stage 1, International Stage 2 and International Incorporated Masters.
International Stage 1: This program is equivalent to the first year of the 4-year degree program in Scotland. It helps in developing language skills while also enhancing academic knowledge.
International Stage 2: Similarly, this course is equivalent to the second year of Scottish degree programs. It deals in specialised modules and advanced English language skills.
International Incorporated Masters: This integrated postgraduate program is extended for one or two terms. It ensures a smooth progress for students to step into their selected Master’s programs.
