Ans: The statement that parents should encourage their children to spend less time on studies and more time on physical activities is something that I disagree with. While I recognise the importance of physical activities, I firmly believe they should not come at the expense of academic studies.

While physical activities undoubtedly offer numerous benefits for children’s health and social development, prioritizing them over academic education may not be prudent. Academic studies play a crucial role in shaping a child’s intellectual capabilities and future career prospects. They provide the foundational knowledge and skills necessary for navigating an increasingly complex and competitive world. Without a solid academic foundation, children may face limitations in their ability to pursue higher education or secure desirable employment opportunities. Therefore, while it’s important to encourage physical activity as part of a balanced lifestyle, it should not come at the expense of academic pursuits.

Reducing the time devoted to academic studies can negatively impact a student’s academic advancement and prospects, as academic success is closely tied to long-term economic achievement. Prioritizing physical activities over academics risks impeding a student’s cognitive growth and may jeopardize their academic performance. Furthermore, there can be adverse effects on a student’s academic progression and future opportunities. For instance, high school students who excessively prioritize physical activities over their studies may struggle to maintain a balance between their academic commitments and extracurricular pursuits, ultimately limiting their prospects for pursuing higher education or securing desirable career paths.

In conclusion, although physical activities hold significance, they should never overshadow academic studies. Parents need to establish a balanced routine for their children, ensuring they can benefit from both physical activities and academic studies without compromising either.
