Due to the hazardous terrain and severe weather, India suffered one of its most difficult wars during the Kargil Conflict. The Indian armed forces were able to regain the penetrated areas by sheer tenacity and unflinching dedication, suffering severe losses from the enemy. The courage shown by our warriors in the face of difficulty was unmatched as they bravely fought to recapture every square inch of Indian soil, inch by inch.
