54-C 2nd Floor, Laxmi Nagar, Delhi-11005 15th March 2023 Dear Neeti, I hope this letter finds you in great health. I am doing good here too. It has been so long since we met, but since it is not going to happen anytime soon, I thought why not write to you? We are going to our ancestral house next week and I am so excited about it, I want to tell you everything. Our ancestral house is located in Srinagar, surrounded by mountains and beautiful valleys full of flowers. My mother told me that I was born in Kashmere and we used to live in that house with my grandparents. I have seen it in pictures and heard a lot about it from my parents, but I don’t remember being there because I was little at the time we moved to Delhi. From the photos of it, it seems to be made of majorly wood with wooden flooring as well. Before us, many generations of our family have stayed and spent their lives there. Currently, no one is staying there but we have kept a caretaker for the house to maintain it. My mother told me that there are many artefacts there that have been collected by many generations of our family. They are very important to us and are still intact there. What I can’t wait to do is play in our garden. Yes, that house has a big garden as well. As from the pictures, it seemed well managed. I wish to take a lot of photos there. We will leave for Srinagar next week. I wish you could also join us then we would have also done sightseeing in Kashmere together. Whenever you find time, write to me or call me. I will be waiting for your response. Also, we have to take time out to meet. Till then take care. Hope to see you soon. Your loving friend, Yashika |

25-A1st Floor B-Block Nirman Vihar Delhi-110052 10th May 2023 Dear Palak, I hope you are doing great. I am good here too. Next week we are going to our ancestral house in Himachal. My brother’s wedding reception is being planned there. I am so excited about it that I immediately sat down to write this letter to you. Our ancestral house has been in our family for many generations. I have been to that house once but that was many moons ago so I properly do not remember a lot about it. But what I do remember is that It is a very big house. Hence, it is a perfect venue to host my brother’s wedding reception. It has a very big lawn too that has a variety of flowers in it. There we are going to set up the reception stage. I had some ideas for the same that shared with my parents such as, we can have the buffet set up on the right corner overlooking a valley so the guests would be able to enjoy the view. The house has an antique look to it, so when lit up by lights, it will look beautiful and would be great for taking pictures in front of. Our ancestral house has a lot of antiques as well that have been collected over time by the ancestors and generations of our family. They are of quite significant value to our family. Along with that, the wallpapers of that house are very beautiful too. The reception will be hosted on the 25th of May 2023. I hope that you will be able to attend the same. There I will give you a tour of that house and then we will take a lot of photos together. Till then, take care. Hope to see you soon. Your loving friend, Gautami |
