SNAP Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who are going to appear in the exam can check the SNAP eligibility criteria. SNAP is an exam that is conducted for admission to the MBA/PGDM program in the colleges associated with SIU Pune and other private colleges. Let’s check the SNAP eligibility criteria that the candidates are required to fulfil for the exam. 

Educational Qualifications

Candidates applying for the SNAP exam should have passed the graduation with a minimum of 50% from a recognized university. The categories belonging to SC, ST, and PWD require a minimum percentage of 45%. Moreover, the students studying in the final year of graduation can also apply for the examination.

Age Limit

The Age limit for the SNAP exam is not fixed but as we know minimum education qualification is graduation. So, the candidates are required to have a minimum age of 18 years to apply for the exam. 

International Students

International students who are willing to apply for the SNAP exam must have an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

SNAP Eligibility Criteria 2024: SIU’s Reservation Policy

Based on the official statement, SUI authorities have outlined a reservation policy for admission to MAB programs at SNAP, except for the Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, which follows its own unique policy.

This approach allows for a more controlled and manageable process where different sections or groups are taken in one by one, rather than all together. It helps in better planning and organization ensuring that each section receives attention and resources appropriately.

Supernumerary Reservation

Reservation for Seats within the Intake

SNAP 2024 Reservation Policy

SNAP 2024 reservation policy provides an opportunity to all the students belonging to different categories. The candidates belonging to weaker sections of the society are provided reservation in the SNAP colleges admission. There is a reservation of 3% for the PWD categories and Children of Defence Personnel are provided with a 5% reservation for different programmes. Moreover, the seats are also provided under the Supernumerary Quota. Two seats for each programme for Kashmiri migrants and 15% are reserved for international candidates. The SC and ST are given the 15% and 7.5% reservation for the sanctioned intake. SNAP 2024 is a competitive examination for admission to MBA courses and the sanctioned intake for it is given in the table below:

Important Instructions

Some important instructions regarding the SNAP 2024 Reservation Policy are:

  • The candidates who are applying under the reserved categories are required to submit the relevant documents. 
  • There can be a variation in categories and the percentage of reservations. 
  • Candidates belonging to several categories can only select only one category.
  • They are required to meet the eligibility criteria and should score well in the SNAP test to be considered for admission. 

Reservation For The Defense Personnel

The reservation is for the Defense personnel including the retired or serving personnel belonging to the Army, Air Force, and Navy. It is also available for the children of the Defence personnel who died while serving duty or during retirement. Additionally, the reservation for the MBA programmes comes under the MoA with the Defense Ministry, India. The total reservation for the SIMS MBA programme is 80% which can be distributed as:

The Differently Abled category has a seat reservation of 3% in all programs by Symbiosis International University(SIU). Some of the disabilities that are covered under the category are Hearing Impairment, Vision Impairment, Multiple Disabilities, Locomotors Disabilities, Learning Disability, Dyslexia and Mental Retardation.
