RULET Merit List

The University of Rajasthan conducts its Law Entrance Test every year to admit students with excellent aptitude in Law to its universities. Last year the examination was conducted on 27 July 2022 and the applications were open from the end of June. Candidates willing to apply for the RULET 2023 examination are looking for the RULET Exam notification 2023 to mark all the important dates and prepare according to the latest RULET Exam Pattern 2023. Once the examination procedure is over, the candidates wait for the results but the RULET results are released in a pattern that involves scorecards, cutoffs and merit lists. Difference Between RULET Scorecard and Merit List

The candidates often get confused between the RULET Scorecards and RULET Merit List. Let’s understand it stepwise. 

1. Once the examination is over the university releases a provisional answer key for the candidates to check their answers and report any discrepancies. 
2. Incorporating all the valid suggestions, the university releases a final RULET Answer Key. This answer key is used to mark the answer sheets. 
3. A Group Discussion and Personal Interview are organised for the students who are shortlisted in this round. 
4. Based on the marks scored in the examination candidates are given a scorecard. 
5. At the same time, a Merit list is released containing the names of all the candidates who appeared for the examination in order of the marks obtained. The candidate who scores the highest is at the number 1 position and the rest follow. 
6. This Merit list unlike the scorecard does not have the complete evaluation marks of the candidates. It instead has the total marks obtained and ranks of all the candidates. 

The RULET Merit list is also an evaluation of the competition in the examination. One can see how many candidates had applied and how many were able secure a seat for themselves in the process.

How is RULET Merit List Prepared?

It is important to know how the RULET Merit List is prepared in order to understand its relevance in the examination better. 

1. The list is a compilation of all the scorecards of the candidates who appeared for the examination. 
2. It is prepared in descending order of marks obtained by the candidates including marks and ranks of all the candidates regardless of their status in the selection procedure. 
3. The evaluation of the scores is based on the marks obtained in the entrance examination, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. 
4. The fact that a candidate’s name is mentioned in the top-ranking section of the Merit List does not ensure admission. The candidates who will pass the cutoff set by the university will be called for the counselling process to secure their seats and only after the fee is paid the admission gets confirmed.
5. In case of a tie in ranks, the scores in the qualifying examination will be evaluated to grant admissions.

1. Ranks of all the candidates.

How to Download the RULET Merit List?

The date of release of the RULET Merit list will be declared later. It is expected to be released by the month of September. The steps to download the RULET Merit List 2023 are given below. 

1. Visit the UNIRAJ website. 
2. Click on the consolidated UG Merit List in the notifications section. 
3. A PDF will open in another tab. 
4. Check the score and rank in the list.
5. Download the PDF for later use.
