MUMCET Reserved Criteria Relaxations
The universities in India provide relaxation to the reserved categories in various forms. It is on the basis of admission eligibility, the application fees, the cutoff and the reservation of seats. All these together constitute the MUCMET Reservation Criteria. The specific criteria mentioned below are followed by Mumbai University for admission to its BMS+MBA Courses in the Thane Sub Campus.
Eligibility Criteria
The general eligibility criteria require a candidate to secure at least 45% marks in the class 12th examination. For the reserved categories from underrepresented backgrounds, the least marks required in higher secondary education are 40%.
The age limit for a normal candidate to apply for this course is 20 years, whereas, for the reserved category, it is 22 years of age. This is also applicable to Person with Disability (PwD) candidates.
Application Fee
There is a relaxation for the reserved categories in the payment of the application fee. The Application form which is normally INR 500 for General Category is INR 250 in the case of the reserved categories.
MUCMET Cutoff
The reserved categories are sometimes also given relaxation in the cutoff. The minimum score required to secure in the MUCMET Exam is higher for the general categories and lower for the reserved category.

MUCMET Reservation Criteria: Category Wise
MUCMET Reservation Criteria is the pattern followed by Mumbai University to give admission to students coming from different categories. According to this criteria, 50% of seats are reserved for various categories and in total 85% of seats are reserved for students of Maharashtra origin. There are a total of 60 seats available for this course and the reservation is offered to the backward communities of Maharashtra State.
If the seats remain vacant at the end of round one, there is a reservation of 2% for those belonging to the Special Backward Class. This reservation is provided to candidates from Maharashtra State Seats who come under the purview of the Competent Authority.
